An 18-year-old girl is in hospital after being left for dead in a Christmas Day hit-run on the Sunshine Coast.
Ebony Rich was driving along Berrburrum Road, Elimbah yesterday morning when out of nowhere she was rammed by a Subaru Impreza.
Instead of stopping to check on Ms Rich’s condition, the driver of the Subaru left the scene.
“The vehicle rolled, almost caught fire and this person left my daughter on the side of the road to die,” Maxwell Rich told 9News.
He is calling for public assistance to find the other driver and hold them accountable for their actions.
“She’s had the muscles in her legs torn away and staples in her head, plus all the other things,” Mr Rich said.
“Bits of glass and all the other things wrong with my daughter at the moment.”
Ms Rich has put a call out to social media for anyone who might have seen anything or has dashcam footage and a police investigation is underway.
Anyone with information that may assist police are urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
