If you’re lucky enough to have space outdoors at your home, why not utilise it? Be the host with the most, and invite friends and family over to enjoy food, conversation and good times while you soak up the nice weather and make memories. Here are some ways to ensure that your garden is ready for those guests.
Ensure you have enough seating
Having plenty of seating is crucial if you want to invite guests over, the last thing you want is everyone standing uncomfortably or sitting on the floor! Having a variety of seating options is a good idea. A large table and chairs are good for when you’re serving food, a bench for sitting and taking in the views of the garden, an egg chair is great for lounging and chilling or you could go for a hammock with stand so people can enjoy laying in the sunshine as you chat and relax together.
Add lighting and heating
If your garden parties tend to stretch on through to the evening then you’ll need to keep people warm and comfortable. Something like a firepit could be a good choice, or you could go with a patio heater. Enough light is essential, and as well as the main floodlight you could add strings of solar lights for ambience.
Improve your garden
Finally, making your garden a more pleasant place to sit will make it a space where guests want to stay. The infographic below gives lots of ideas on how you can generally improve your garden, which will benefit yourself as well as guests.
