What Do You Need the Most in Your Travel Bag?

17 May 2021 by threewords

As you can probably tell by my many posts, as a family, we love going on holiday. I love taking my children to new and exciting places. However, while I do adore travelling, I think that if you don’t pack the right things in your bag, your holiday can quickly turn into a disaster. Or at the very least, an experience you don’t want to remember. So, let’s think about some of the things that you may want to make sure are in your travel bag before you go on your next trip.

What Do You Need the Most in Your Travel Bag?

Plug Adapter

If you’re travelling abroad, this is a must-have accessory that’s going to make your life so much easier. Using a travel adapter will allow you to charge your phone or computer. It’s always important to have a fully charged phone if you are travelling with children. Otherwise, you might find yourself in an emergency situation with no way to contact anyone.

Relaxation And Stress Relief

Holidays, while fun can be quite stressful so you do need to think about using something that will help you remain calm. There are many possibilities here. If you are a nervous flyer you may want to try a herbal remedy. These can be bought from a pharmacist and just require a small drop on the tongue to be effective. Alternately you may use vaping as a form of relaxation, and you should make sure you pack your e juice as well as your e-cigarette. Most airlines will let you carry this in hand luggage. However, some will instruct you to put it in a suitcase. It’s always best to check with the airline beforehand.

Earplugs

Planes can be quite noisy and passengers more so. That’s why you should always make sure that you have a few earplugs packed in your travel bag. These may also provide use when you reach your destination, particularly if you’re staying at a family resort. You may want an early night but other holiday goers may not share this idea. Instead, they could stay up till the early hours making quite a lot of noise.

Laptop or Tablet

If you’re looking for a way to keep the kids entertained, a laptop or your tablet is the tool of choice. On longer flights, there will be videos for them to watch. But what about when you reach your destination? Chances are you’ll have a lot of activities planned that will rely on the weather being wonderful. If it isn’t, you might find yourself stuck indoors with your family. Keeping them entertained throughout the day will be easy if you have a tablet they can use.

Underwear, Socks and Tshirts

You get the reason for this idea, I’m sure. When you travel using public transport, there’s always a chance that your luggage will get lost. This will leave you with no clothes and in a rather miserable state. The answer is to pack a few of the essentials in each person’s travel luggage. That way, no one will be completely lost without their luggage.
